The mandatory submission of Periodic Energy Audits (PEA) forms part of Singapore's comprehensive approach to ensure that cooling systems continue to operate efficiently throughout a building’s lifespan, allowing building owners to continuously reap energy saving benefits.

Under this requirement, qualifying buildings must engage certified energy auditors to evaluate their energy consumption patterns, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvement measures at specified intervals.
Submission Process
Upon receiving PEA notice from the Commissioner of Building Control, building owners must do the following:
Step 1. Engage service to carry out the energy audit
Appoint a Professional Engineer (Mechanical). Refer to Professional Engineers Board Singapore and select “Mechanical” under “Branch of Engineering”; or
Step 2. Document preparation
